BRITISH DIRIGIBLES.
SPEED FACTOR DOUBTFUL. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) LONDON, September 24. The aviation expert of the "Daily Telegraph" points out that the airships RIOO and ElOl are in danger of being criticised as failures unless they attain an average speed of 75 miles an hour independent of wind, with a maximum speed of over 80 miles. The RlOl will be handicapped on her first trials by the fact that only four out of the five heavy oil engines with which she is fitted will be available for propulsion. The writer adds that the public will be advised to remember that when the full programme is completed the R.lOl will have, the desired speed capacity. The RlOl has been inflated ' and is expected to. make her first trial within a fortnight.
