CANTERBURY PRODUCE.
POTATOES A SHADE FIRMER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday There is little change to record in market values since the week-end. Potatoes are quoted at £7 15/ for September or prompt delivery, and from £8 15/ to £9 for October, the figures being a shade firmer than at the week-end. The market is quite firm, though very little business is passing. The Wingatui is due to sail on Thursday, and it is understood that she will take a fairly substantial shipment, as so far she is the final boat scheduled for the month. She will load at both Timari: and Lyttelton. Growers are being offered £6 10/ on trucks. There is no movement in other classes of produce, prices remaining as previously quoted. Oats are in slow demand, A Gar-' tons being quoted at 3/9 to 3/10 f.0.b., s.i., and B grade at 3/8. Seeds are at fairly high prices and speculation is absent.
