BOOTLEGGERS BARRED.

SALE OF AMERICAN YACHT.

WASHINGTON, September 16

When the former Presidential yacht, The Mayflower, which is for sale, passes into the" hands of her new owner, she will carry on the puritanical spirit of the voyagers in her namesake which brought the Pilgrim Fathers to America. It will be a case of water, water, everywhere,, and not a drop—of anything stronger —to drink, for the conditions of sale provide that the purchaser must be an American citizen and that he must undertake never to use her for the transport of liquor. Bootleggers, therefore, are barred from bidding.
