JUBUJBE INSTITUTE SUBSIDY
ANOTHER £2100 FOR TRANSPORT COMMISSION. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) ' WELLINGTON, this day. Among the items of local interest in the supplementary estimates there is an additional £221 subsidy, for the Jubilee Institute for the Blind; £939 is remitted to the Te Kuiti Racing Club in respect of penal interest accrued on duty paid in connection with the meeting held in February, 1927. In this main estimates there was a £2000 vote for the Auckland Transport Board's expenses, and an item in the supplementary estimates provides an additional £2100, making the total cost £4100. An additional £415 is voted for the purchase of land in connection with the Taupo fisheries. The promised £ for £ subsidy (up to £200) on money raised by the Auckland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association for the poor of Auckland is granted, the maximum Bum being provided. A grant of £300 is made tc the Dargaville demonstration farm. Big Roading Vote. There is a substantial vote for roads the following grants and subsidies being provided for the Auckland district.
