WAYS OF WOMEN.
CHALLENGE OF RAYON.
OUTLOOK FOR N.Z. WOOL.
LOWER PRICES PROBABLE.
"Women wear little clothing nowadays and less New Zealand wool will be required this season for the Rngliah market," said Mr. F. Clark, a well known Bradford wool buyer, who arrived at Auckland by the Niagara to-day.
Mr. Clark said that he was of the opinion that at the coming New Zealand wool sales lower prices would rule in comparison with last season, although they would be fair prices as far as the New Zealand farmers were concerned. There was a big and increasing demand for rayon. Rayon stockings for women had largely replaced the warm, woollen ones that used to be worn. In addition rayon was being much used for other articles of women's clothing, and where artificial silk sufficed and was the fashion as well, there was no demand for woollen clothing of a like nature.
