FIRST DAY'S POSTPONED RACES.
FAIR ATTENDANCE AND FREE OOUBBE.
SUPREMACY'S WELCOME STAKES. The Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting, which had to be postponed on Saturday owing to the crowd being dissatisfied with the dispatch of the field in the Mitchelson Cup, was continued at 2 o'clock this afternoon. There was a fair Attendance, and the course was free to everybody for the day. Hot Favourite Wins. Golden Measure was the only withdrawal from the Welcome Stakes, and Supremacy was sent out a strong odds-on favourite. First Money was badly left, and when the field had finally settled down Supremacy was leading Hunting Day and Clever. Supremacy was first into the straight from Hunting Day, Clever, Eaglet and First Money. In the run home Supremacy held his own, and won by a couple of lengths from Hunting Day, with Eaglet four lengths awav,' and Clever fourth. Results: — WELCOME STAKES of lOOOsovs. For two-year-olds.
