HOSPITAL AUXILIARY.
CLOTHES REQUIRED.
DEPOT COMMITTEE MEETS,
The fact that clothes were still required for distribution was commented upon at the monthly meeting of the depot committee of the Hospital Auxiliary held on Friday. Mrs. Arthur Wakeman presided. The transport committee reported that parcels of clothing and donations were received from the Henderson, Bayswater. Belmont and- Te Atatu Women's Institutes, Y.W.C.A., Mount Eden branches and city sewing circles. The depot assistant reported that September was a busy month and relief and foodstuffs were given to 112 needy cases, 677 garments were supplied to applicants, 24 slippers and 37 garments to the wards. Votes of thanks wer.e passed to the Victoria and Navy Leagues for donations received, Messrs. Hart. Brothers, Limited, for toys and walking sticks, Mrs. Garl'ick and an anonymous donor for pots of jam, and the public for contributions received.
