BILLIARDS.
LINDRUM STILL IN FRONT,
TWO DAYS TO GO.
Playing the more consistently, Clark McConachy made up some leeway at yesterday afternoon's session of hia match of 18,000 up with Walter Lindrum, but the Australian crack did slightly the heavier scoring in the evening, and is still 930 ahead with but two days to go. Again yesterday there were a number of good breaks. At the afternoon session McConachy scored very consistently, registering 962 to his opponent's 656. Lindrum carried his unfinished break of the previous evening from 325 to 382. McConachy scored breaks of 86 and 152, and then the Australia, in quick style, rattled up 440, a brilliant effort. The New Zealander, however, was the more consistent, and before the end of the session added breaks of 130, 100, 152, 85 and 166. The session scores were:— W. Lindrum, 14,157. Breaks, 382, 440. C. McConachy scored consistently, but four times failed when within a few of the century. In a break in which the nursery cannon was a feature, the Australian ran up 328 in merry style. McConachy replied with breaks of 136 and 171, and again got into three figures before the Australian ran to session points. The session scores were: — I W. Lindrum, 15.000 (in play).
