SCHOOL STEEPLECHASES.
GRAMMAR BOYS' EVENTS. — ___ The boys of both the Auckland and Takapuna Grammar Schools are holding their annual steeplechases this afternoon. The field© are large for both races. Tl*e course for the Anckland Grammar School runners Is as follows—Mountain Road, Clive Boad, across the mountain to Mount Eden Road, Stokes Road, Marama Avenue, Owens Boad, entering the mountain at the southern gate, across the mountain, and back to the school, an approximate distance of two miles and a-half. At Takapuna the senior course over a distance of three miles, i B aa follows:— r« ?J? the school, thence down Eversleigh Road to Shoal Bay Bridge, across country to the bottom of Northboro Boad, up Jutland Road, thence down Hauraki Road, and np Clifton Boad to the school. The Junior course covers a little over two miles. It does not include the bridge route, but branches off and follows the Northboro Koaa. | The results will he published in the later i editions of the "Star.
