WELLINGTON, this day.
The bank returns for the September quarter show that deposits totalled £52,596,018 and advances £45,119,424, leaving an excess of deposits of £7,476,594.
The excess of deposits at the end of the June quarter was £7,520,178, while a year ago there was an excess of advances amounting to £3,601,481.
