ADAPTABLE MINERS.

LONDON, September 28.

The British coal miner is proving himself an adaptable being. Many, previously in the ranks of the unemployed, are making excellent waiters and "bus conductors, following the appeal of the Prime Minister to employers to find work wherever possible for unemployed men in the depressed areas. Large numbers are also engaged on roadmaking and other heavier tasks.
