The English tennis team which has been visiting California left yesterday by the Makura for Australia. LOS ANGELES, October 3. In the Pacific south-west tennis championships Boussus (France) defeated F. Marter (Los Angeles), 6—o, 6—l, and he also defeated Guilford (Los Angeles), 6—2, 6—l; Landry (France) defeated F. Gover (Pasadena), 6—l, 6—l. Landry defeated Bates (San Francisco), 6—3, 4—6, 7 —5; Cochet defeated Bixler (Los Angeles), B—6, 6—o. In the doubles Boussus and Landry (France) defeated Skeen and Westsmith (Los Angeles), 6 —4, 6—4.
DAVIS CUP DATES.
FIXED BY FRENCH L.T.F. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 1 p.m.) PARIS, October 3. The French Tennis Federation has fixed the Davis Cup inter-zone final for July . 19, 20 and 21, and the challenge round for July 26, 27 and 28, both at the Stade Roland, Garros. Entries close on January 31.
