REAL BENEFITS.
"STAR" FREE INSURANCE.
THE EXTENDED SCHEME.
£370 PAID OUT IN TWO MONTHS
The practical value of the "Star's" Free Insurance scheme has passed the demonstration period, and its utility is fully appreciated by the general public. The new scheme, under which more liberal benefits, including insurance in the home and cover for children, hag now been tested out, and its utility has been clearly shown by the fact that in the first two months of its operation sums totalling 4&70 have been paid out. This total includes two sums of £150 for accidents to pedestrians—the "Star" is the only paper which makes this liberal offer for this class of accident. It also includes six cases in which broken limbs have been sustained within the home, and two cases in which children have suffered fractures. In one case a benefit totalling £150 was acknowledged immediately, although the subscriber had only been registered for four days. In all other cases prompt payments were made by the Prudential Assurance Company. The pedestrian accidents upon which claims of £150 were paid were:— William Coe, who was unfortunately killed whilst walking along Great South Road, Westfield, about midnight, on August 15. He was knocked down by a motor car, his injuries proving fatal. Mrs. E. S. Dukes, who was knocked down by a tramcar whilst crossing Upper Symonds Street. The victim of this accident had her umbrella up, as it was raining heavily at the time. Registration under this scheme is effected by the simple method of filling in the coupon published on page 12 of this issue. Sign it now, post it in, and you will forthwith be covered.
