THE MONEY MARKET.
COMMONWEALTH BANK. BIG HALF-YEAR'S PROFIT. SYDNEY, September 19. The Commonwealth Bank in the half year ended June 30 made a profit-of £965,525. The chairman, Sir Robert Gibson, says he regards the prospects as bright, owing to the indications that a favourable season is facing the primary producers.
