LONDON WOOL SALES. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office, dated September 18:—The wool sales have opened with moderate competition and a large attendance of buyers. There is a moderate demand for all classes of wool. Compared with the closing rates of the last series, prices are lower as follows:—Merino, 2d per lb; fine crossbred, Id to l%d; medium and coarse crossbred, Id; scoured wool, 2d. CHICAGO WHEAT VALUES. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) CHICAGO, September 19. Wheat for delivery in September is quoted at Chicago at $1,894 per bushel. For December delivery the rate is $1.13%, for March $1.17%, and for May $1.20%.
