HOSPITAL BOARD.
CLAIM FOR TUBERCULOSIS eUKE, M*ATRON FOR WARKWORTH HOSPITAL. A letter waa read from Miss K. Paul at yesterday's meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board, asking that the honorary medical staff be allowed to test medicine, manufactured by herself, for the cure of consumption. She claimed that permanent results had been obtained by her treatment, and she was prepared to divulge it to the hospital staff. Mr. Wm. Wallace, chairman, said he had known of definite results having been obtained by Misa Paul's treatment. It was decided to request the honorary staff to confer with Miss Paul. The Auckland Trained Masseurs' Association requested that the hospital fees be raised to a level in keeping with those of the association. The minimum fee charged by the association is £2 2/, equal to 7/ per treatment, as against the board's charge of 2/6. The Finance Committee made no recommendation, and the board adopted the report. ; In connection with the appointment of a sister in charge for the Warkworth Hospital, three applications were received. They were referred to the chairman and secretary to make a selection.
