OTAHUHU NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The 42nd annual meeting of the shareholders of the Otahuhu Public Hall Company was held on Thursday evening. The president, Mr H. J. Hall, occupied the chair. The report showed that the revenue from the hire of the hall was £87 10/6. Considerable improvements had been effected. The ground in front of the hall had been raised to the street level, and tarred and sanded, at a cost of £30 14/6. A new front fence and gates had been erected, costing £16 19/2. and sundry other improvements carried out. The balance in hand was £34 13/9, as against £53 1/5 at the beginning of the year. The directors proposed during the incoming ysar to renovate and repaint the front of the hall, and to make improvements in the exits from the building. On the motion of Mr Everett, seconded by Mr Dippratt, the retiring directors, Messrs Sturgess and Harbutt, were re-elected. Mr T. K. Fallwell was re-elec-ted secretary and treasurer, and Mr E. West auditor for the shareholders. A vote of thanks was passed to the officers of the company. At a subsequent meeting of the directors, Mr H. J. Hall was again elected president, and Mr W. S. Day auditor for the directors. Messrs J. Huir and S. J. Harbutt weTe deputed to arrange for the lighting of the hall with gas.
