INSPECTION OF MILK.
DUNEDIN, this day. In connection with Dr.. Mason's advocacy of municipal milk depots, the Dunedin and Suburban Dairymen's Association has passed a resolution opposing any interference with the present methods of supply. The Association suggests that the inspection of shops selling milk and of carts taking milk brought from outside sources should be placed under control of the Health Department.

At a meeting of the Charitable Aid Board, it was resolved: "That the Board recommend the Government to ■place St. Mary's Orphanage on the list of schools receiving grants, this recommendation to apply to all denominational schools doing work of an equally benevolent character." MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS.
