BOWLING.

INTERNATIONAL BOWLING TOURNAMENT. (From Our Special Correspondent.) LOXDON, May 24. The fourth annual international bowling tournament promoted by the London County 8.C., which is now in progress at the Crystal Palace, attracted an enormous entry of players representative of the Mother Country, New South Wales, Westvery close game; Mr G. Prince (New Zealand and Tasmania, and a fairly strong contingent of over-sea players have put in an appearance at the Palace. Play commenced last Wednesday, and amongst the survivors of the first round were Mr W. Barnett (New Zealand), who beat Mr In" of the Brownswood 8.C., 21 to 18, after "a very close game; Mr G. Prinme (New Zealand), who beat his opponent by a single point, after a particularly exciting game, admirably played by both men; and Mr L.' Collins, of Tasmania, who romped home 21 to 13. The Hots. R. Mackenzie, of Western Australia, who drew a bye in the first series, left Mr S. E. Telland (Hove) etanding at 9, whilst he ran out in the second series; and Mr Passau (New South. Wales) had a walk over. Mr Barnett was again successful, beating his man 21 to 11 but Mr Prince failed to hold Mr W. Stonehewer, the well known English internationalist, who beat him easily at 21—6. The third round saw Mr Barnett knock out Mr Gale, who had put out Dr. W. G. Grace in the preceding series, by 21 to 13, and Mr A. Louisson (New Zealand), who had been favoured with a couple of lives, easily beat Morton, of Balham, by a like marginMr Collins (Tasmania) also qualified for the fourth series by beating his man by the narrow margin of one point, but Mr P*assau was easily beaten, and the Hon. R. McKenzie committed hart-kari by the simple process of scratching.

Among the colonials who were knocked out in the first round were Messrs W Hinman (Tasmania), and R. P. Vincent of Western Australia. '
