COURSING.
. NORTH NEW ZEALAND COURSING CLUB'S MEETING. % The third gathering of the season, under the management of the New Zealand Coursing Club, took place on Saturday last, at the Club's Plumpton, Otahuhu. The weather was splendid, and there was a good attendance. Mr F. W. Coombes officiated as judge, and-Mr L. Brenan as slipper, both gentlemen giving every satisfaction. As at previous gatherings the arrangements were admirably carried out by the committee, under the direction of the Hon. Secretary (Mr C. R. Tapper). Tbe results of the first two rounds of tbe Maiden Stake, and the first round of the All-Aged Stake, are as follows:— RAILWAY MAIDEN STAKE. Winner, £20; runner-up, £7; third dog, £3 10/. FIRST ROUND.

Messrs Payne and Lynch's White Heather beat Mr A. D. Wallace's Pedicure.

Mr A. J. Searle's Battalion beat Mrs Guise's Eiatere. Mr M. Frenej's Lockfire beat Mr A. Julian's Pearlie. Mr A. J. Searle's Wild Lad beat Mr R. Movie's Napoleon. Mr W. C.
