Mr A. Lewis, late chief engineer of the Atua, arrived by the West Coast boat from the South this morning, en route to the Old Country. Mr Lewis will return in charge of the engineroom of the new steamer for the Island trade. He leaves Auckland in about a fortnight's time. We have received the following further donations on behalf of Andrew Cummings, newsvendor, who has lost both of his legs: — A.B.C. £1, Friend 1/-, and W.O. 2/6.
