A man named Lupton was admitted to the Thames Hospital to-day, suffering from injuries reeeivea while placing charges in position in the workings of the Koniata Reefs mine. Lupton W "tamping" a hole when one of the charges already in exploded, hurling ?, mass of rock, etc., in the face of the unfortunate man, whose head and f»c« were badly injured.
