An Interesting Experiment. (Received 5.4 a.m.) LONDON*, February 9. Mr. James, the West Australian AgentGeneral, is forwarding to Australia a small supply of Professor Moore'a nitro-gen-fixing bacteria, obtained from the United States Department of Agriculture for experimental purposes. It is supposed that the bacteria, will have the effect of restoring to soil the nitrogenous properties extracted by the crops, preTenting exhaustion or the necessity of manures, or rotation of crops.
