RETURNING BOXER INDEMNITY
Generous Action by America. (Received 8.24 a.m.) WASHINGTON. February 9. llr. Secretary Hay has decided to return to China at the close of the RussoJapanese war the sum of £4,400,000. being the balance of the indemnity in connection with the rising of the Boxers after defraying American claims.
