THE BURNS CLCB. A meeting of members of the old Burns Club was held in the Masonic Hall, Karangahape road, last evening. The chairman (Mr Fowlds! explained that the meeting had been called to consider the position of affairs and to decide what course should he taken for the future. The society had been registered under the Cnolassiiiod Societies Act. bnt as no returns had been sent In for some years the question was whether the registration should be cancelled or the society reorganised. It was accordingly resolved by those present to hand over the remaining property to the Auckland Sr. Andrew's Society, and to authorise the trustees to gtr the registration of the Burns Clnb cancelled. GOOD INTENT LODGE. M.C.. LCf.O.F. At the .ordinary meeting of the Good Intent Lodge, M.C. 1.0.0.F.. held iv the Cook street Hall yesterday evening, there was a large attendance. X.G. I-iro. Rm-klev presiding. An official visit was received from officers and brethren of the Fountain of Friendship and PanreLl M.C. Lodges, and they were accorded the honours of the Order. At the conclusion of the ordinary business the lodge went into harmony. P. G.M. Bro. John MoLeod being in the chair. He was snpported by D.P..G.M. Bro. W. Thomas and D.W. Bro. C. C. Tyke. A liberal repast was provided by the members of rhe Good Intern Lodge] which was done full jnsticc to. During the evening several toasts were honoured, that of the "Fountain nf Friendship Lodge" being responded to by X.U. Bro. A. Lowrie." and the --Parnell Lodge" by X.G. Bro. D. P. Baird. The rn>st of the "District Officers" was proposed by P. P.G.M. Bro. F. .T. iv felicitous terms, and ably replied to by D.P.G.M. Bro. TV. Thomas. During the evening a number of vocal and other item* were contributed by brethren present. Mr Cato made an efficient accompanist.
