The Lords This Afternoon.

In the Lords to-day the usual sessional committees were appointed. Mr Chamberlain's important motion came on. He moved it briefly, and all the members were evidently pleased, and smiled accmiescence.

Dr Pollen replied that he vouM bring the matter under the notice of the Minister of Worts; that the Council believed it necessary to stop up certain apertures. The motion was withdrawn.

Mr Johnson is now moving the address in reply.
