The Government Abolition Bill.

There appears to be a mis-understanding as to the meaning of the Governor's^speech re the abolition of the provinces. The Government will ask the Hou3e to go further than List year's resolutions. The Government Bill provides for the total abolition of the provinces ; that Eoad Boards and Municipalities are substantially endowed, and that the land fund will be lefb to open up the country and introduce population. It is announced that the Government measures

re all ready, and will be brought down with the financial statement as soou as the debate on tbe address is concluded.
