DUNEDIN.
(Per Press Telegram Agency.) This day. Serious Accident. As Captain Russell, of the schooner Cora, was attempting to push his vessel off the lighter Edinburgh (both alongside the Jettystreet Wharf), he lost his balance and fell overboard, striking against the lighter's anchor. He received internal injuries. Fire. A fire occurred yesterday at Hymams who lost furniture aud a large amount of jewellery uninsured. The house was completely destroyed.
__ The Mayoralty. H. E. J. Walter, hotel keeper, and C. S. Reeves, soda water manufacturer, are candidates for the Mayoralty. There are no other nominations.
