The Fire Brigade. In consequence of the hostile action of the City Council towards the Fire Brigade, several members of that body are presenting a petition to Captain Wain, requesting himto Qall a meeting to-morrow to consider the desirability of disbanding. The Synagogue At a meeting of the members of the Hebrew congregation it was decided to proceed with the enlargement of the Synagogue, at a cost of £1200, as soon as £300 is collected by the congregation. Civil Sessions. The trial of civil cases in the Supreme Court has been adjourned till Thursday. The Tinkers polution case Glassford v. Reid and others will be heard on Monday.
