This day.
The schooners Belle Brandon and Saucy Lass sailed on Saturday afternoon for Auckland.
The Colonistleaves to-moi row for Auckland with a cargo of sheep and cattle.
The Government have decided to hold the annual rifle competition next year at Napier. Mr Tiffen permits the rifle range to be placed at Green Meadows. It is a capital spot four miles from town.
The Star of the South damaged a portion of her cargo, which will be sold at auction to-morrow.
