RED QUEEN GOLD MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED).

The half-yearly meeting of the- shareholders in this company was held in the Mechanics' Institute, this afternoon. Mr George Williamson in the chair. The minutes of previous meeting having been read and confirmed, the secretary proceeded to read the Directors' and Mine Manager's report, and balance sheet. The Directors report recommend, a call of 6d. per share to enable them to sink the shaft lower, in order that they may work on a rich run of gold recently discovered in No. 1 leader, which bids fair to realize about three ounces to the ton. A horse whim has been erected and the requisite gear purchased, and altogether the reports are of an encouraging nature. These were adopted by the meeting, and no other business being brought forward the meeting separated.
