POLICE COURT.
THIS DAY. Before Thomas Becklum, Esq, R.M.
DBUNKENNESS. Three persons were punished as usual for this offence. DEUX! AND DISOBDBBLY. Christina Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct whilst drunk.—Fined 20s and costs, or 48 hours' imprisonment. HABlTiri.L DBTTNKENNESS: The same prisoner was further charged with committing a breach of the Vagrant A.ct by being an habitual drunkard, she haying been three times convicted during
the past twelve months. To this charge she pleaded not guilty. The case, however, was proved, and she was sent to gaol for three months, to be kept to hard labor. BEEACH OF BYE-LAWS OF PUBLIC DOMAIN ACT. James Montgomery was charged by John Hodgins, Domain ranger, with taking three dogs within the enclosure on 26th ultimo. It having been explained that the occurrence was purely accidental and the dogs not the property of defendant, the charge was withdrawn on payment of costs by him.
