About 6 c • ih uic-ri ; j awoke and felt ill, ;;.! ones i-ook a fit. His wife ran at once for some medicine, and was only away a few minutes, and on returning found that he had breathed his last. A doctor was procured in her absence, and was present before he expired. No help could be administered, as his death was only tlie work of a fewmoments. Mr Stevens was for many years clerk in the firm of Fraser and Tinne, and held in high esteem by all who knew him. his kindness and urbanity was felt by all, and he leaves many friends who mourn his loss- He was only 22 years of age. We understand that no inquest will.be requisite, as the Doctor gave a certificate ot death, from epilepsy.
