FENIAN RAID IN IRELAND.
A gang of men, supposed to be Fenians, broke into the militia armory at Marlow, on Saturday night, and carried off 120 rifles. A sentinel fired upon tho men as they were leaving, but all escaped. Some of them were discovered this morning in a neighbouring field. Five porsons hare been arrested on suspicion.
Tho Crown Prince of Prussia will reach Now York early in autumn, and will probably come over Pacific Coast to San Francisco.
Secretary Soward, after immense ovations in India and Persia, reached Egypt, where he received royal honors. The Sultan of Turkey issued a proclamation commanding a'1 officials to receive him, with honors due to a bovoreign.
The projected union of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark is again mooted. Ministry sustained in English Parliament an army reform project, and tho abolition of the commission purchase system. Spasmodic efforts being made to resueitate Fenian excitement in the United States, but the organisation appears to be dying out. Emperor and Empress of Brazil arrived at Lisbon, and will visit the United States on return.

The Pope protests against any compromise with tbe Italian Government. Ho deolares that lie will never sanction the occupation of Papal territory by the Kingdom of Italy, and calls on all Catholics and Catholic Princes to aid in the restoration of Papal Temporal Sovereignty. ■ The opposition to the dogma of infallibility increases in Europe. Dr. Dollinger, of Bavaria, who wag excomunicated by the Pope is receiving the adhesion of large numbers of prelates, and is supported by tho Government. . , • ...
