Evening- State Office, Thursday afternoon. Mr. L. W. Eaton hold a sale of fruit, at his auction mart, to-day, and obtained the follewing prices : —Pears, 2d to 32-d per lb. ; apples, 2£d to 3d ; quinces, Id per lb. Messrs. Arthur and Son sold, at their mart, to-day, as follows : —Wangarei apples, 2.U1 ; pears, 1-Jd per lb. ; potatoes, 3s per cwt. ; onions, 1£ per lb. ; bran, la fid per bushel; sharps, 6s 6d per 100 lbs.; oatmeal, 2id per lb. ; rice, 1. d ; cheese, od to 6d per lb.
