ARRIVAL OF THE NAPIER.
The fine little steamer Napier, Captain Bendall, arrived in harbour this morning from Napier via Poverty Bay. She brings a quantity of oil for transhipment to England by the Q ; ueen Bee. The Napier has come on here in order to undergo some slight repairs, and after discharging her cargo she will be placed on the slip at the North Shore. Capt. Bendall reports leaving Napier on Sunday morniug at 5 o'clock. Had strong head winds, arid arrived at Poverty Bay the same day at 6 p.m. ; landed cargo and passengers, and left for this port at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Had fresh head winds to Mercury Island, thence light N.E. winds. Passengers : —-Messrs. Watt, Nelson, McLeod, Gilford, Green, Mrs. Ross and three children, Mrs. Fernandez and 1 child.
