ARRIVAL OF THE STAR OF THE SOUTH.

The cattle steamer Star of the South, Captain Holmes, arrived in harbour' this morning from Napier, via the Coast, bringing a cargo of sheep for Mr. A. Buckland. The Star left Napier on Sunday, March 12th, for Tologa Bay, arriving there on the 13th ; strong N.E. wind, with heavy sea. On Wednesday, 15th, weighed anchor, and ran to Poverty Bay for shelter during a heavy N.E. gale ; remained there until Sunday, 19th, when she proceeded to Tologa Bay, and took on board 1000 sheep, and left on Tuesday, at 11 a.m., for Auckland, arriving in harbour at daybreak. Passengers :—Messrs. Badley, Buckland, McMurray, Cowell, and two steerage.
