THE COLONIAL PRIZE-FIRING.

We regret that through disapointment in the transmission of our second message from the Butts, we were in yesterday's issue unable to givo the score of the fifth set, but which we now append. In the afternoon more persons arrived on the ground arffl made the scene a more animated one, and especially during the firing by the cadets great interest was mauifestcd. Wo" append hereto the score of the fifth set, as also that of the cadots. One very narrow escape from accident at the Butts was the only thrilling event of the day, Lieutenant Burns having had a most remarkable escape owing to some 'error in (lie transmission of orders, a ride ball having passed through the paper in his hand, in which he was noting the score.
