DROWNING.

Tins morning the body of a man named Neilson, a seaman on board the schooner Merlin, and aged about twenty-three years, was found between the Wood Wharf and the Breakwater, just under the stern of the s.s. Kecra. The deceased arrived in the colony in 1867, on board the Meriugton, and has siuce been engaged iv the coasting trade. He has for some time been living at the Steam Packet Boarding-house, in Victoria-street. There are no marks of violence on the body. There were found in his pocket, £2 4s. 6d., a gold ring, and merschaum pipe. The inquest on tiie body is beiujj held at the Railway Terminus Hotel, by Dr. Philson, as we go to press.
