Cases Adjottened.—Baker t. J. Joues ; ditto v. Bruce ; Trustees of Dudley v. J. Lynch ; North Island Gold Mining Company v. Burtt. (The judgment in this case was still further adjourned on the application of counsel.

Coojibes and Johnson t. T.L. Bewbtthv. —This was an unsatisfied judgment. —On the application of counsel, the Court ordered a warrant to issue if tbe money was not paid by Monday next. — Mr. Hill appeared for the plaintiff, Mr. Rees for the defence. Depended Cases.—R.Cameron v. F.Titnesa. —This was a claim of £7 for board and lodging. Mr. Wynn for tbe defendant. The case was a peculiar one. The plaintiff claimed for the keep of a young -woman who was confined at his place. He kept her and the child for seven weeks. The defendant was the putative father of the child by his own confession. He declined, however, to pay moie than £3 10s. Defendant was in Court, and had a broad grin on his face throughout the proceedings. His Honor made him stand up and gave him a most scathing lecture upon the immorality and heartlessness of his conduct. Ultimately it was agreed to adjourn the case in orcer to see if any settlement could be come to. ■

Tuttt V. WniSKEß.—This was a claim for £B.—Mr. Beveridge for the plaintiff.—Mr. Wynn for the defendant.—This was a disputed case about the ownership of a horse. Judgment was given for the defendant. . Tuoan v. Lynch. — Mr. Kees for the plaintiff.—Mr. Wynn for the defendant.—The action was to recover the amount of £10 7s. 6d. for the sale of a cow. Witness having been examined, judgment was passed for the plaintiff. [Left sitting.]
