PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
MONDAY
Tn the Council yesterday, various questions wei-e nsked. A motion by Dr. Nicholson to test the charge of bribery of Thames papers to the extant of £10,000, laid by Mr. Mitchell, was carried. The question of the extension of the Graharnstown wharf gave rise to a long debate. Various bills were advanced a stage, and the resolutions regarding the Immigration and Public Works Acts, 1870, considered.
