The Court resumed at half-past ten o'clock this morning. __. ._ Re Tradesmen's Gold Mikikg Company —Mr. Rees for Official Agent.—Mr. Hesketh, for Dr. Wright, stated that something fresh had been urged yesterday morning in his (Mr. Hcsketh's) absence. The Court stated that after consideration of the case since yesterday morning, it was clear that Dr. Wright was "not liable, and his name must therefore be struck out.—On behalf ot Dr. Wright, Mr. Hesketh applied that costs might be allowed. Granted.—Mi-. Rees asked that costs might, be allowed the Officinligent in the ca*es where parties had opposed unsuccessfully. The Court allowed £1 Is in each case. —Mr. Rees applied that, Mr. Haywood, who was summoned to produce certain books a short time ago, and failed to do so, should pay the costs of the case, which then tell through on account of the non-pro .uction ot the books, which, however, he subsequently gave up through his solicitor.—Mr. Kisshng objected to any costs being allowed, at least without prima facie evidence being given that the books were actually in the possession of Mr. Haywood at the time of the action. — Mr. Kisslin" said the books were not in the possession of Mr. Haywood.—The subject then dropped.—ln the case of the other shareholders in the Tradesmen's claim, the Court confirmed the schedule of contributions. In jit. Cosmopolitan Gold Mining- Com-PANY.-Mr. Rees applied that, Mr. Pratt, against whom judgment, was given on the previous day for a sum of £60, might not, be mulcted in costs.—Mr. Hesketh spoke on the other side.-The Court said that, costs must follow the judgment.. Ik hr Auckland Independent Gold Mintno Company.—The liabilities were reduced, and the amended schedule confirmed. In nrc MAGENTA. —The amount assessed upon Henry Soott McKellar, one of the shareholders, was reduced. The other contributions were confirmed. This was nil the business, and the Court adjourned.
