ELECTIONS.
As we anticipated, Mr. Header Wood was elected yesterday at Parnell. The numbers at the close of the poll were : Wood, 213; King, 87. At Otahuhu, Messrs. Clark and Buckland, the only candidates for Franklyn, were yesterday elected without opposition. To-day, at the Devonport Hall, North Shore, there was a nomination of candidates for the Electoral District of Waitemata. Pressure on our space compels us to omit a detailed notice ; but Mr. Dignan proposed, and Mr. J. Lamb seconded, Thomas Henderson, Esq. ; Mr. Burn proposed, and Mr. O'Neill seconded, ( aptain Freer. The show of hands resulted in—for Freer, 15 ; Henderson, li. A poll was, of course, demanded.
