LATEST PARTICULARS.
With respect to insurances effected, we learn that a large portion of the cargo being shipped by Must and Co., was coveied bp an insurance of £6000, the insurance having been effected yesterday with an English company. Starch and Co. had insured gum on board to the extent of £2,000. ,T. S. Macfarlano had 105 packages of gum on board insured. Combes & Daldy, 100 tons gum, for £400. Henderson and Macffarlane had 200 packages of gum, value £600, partially insured Ealph Sterry and Co. had 850 packages of gum insured. We are informed that the New Zealand Insurance Company are interested in the cargo to the extant of £6,000 or £7,000 by policies of insurance.
As we go to press, though the vessel has been submerged to her bulwarks/the cargo is still smouldering. Tenders have been called for raising the vessel, which will probably be effected to-morrow.
