CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
The Chamber of Commerce had a special meeting yesterday, at 3 p.m. The day of monthly [meeting was altered to the second Tuesday in the month, and the number of committee was raised from 5 to 7. The annual meeting was then held. The annual report and balance sheet waread by the secretary, detailing the variou. matters of business attended to by the Chamber during the year. Mr. Yon Per lleyde'was elected President, and Captain Paldy Vice-President. A committer was chosen, consisting of Messrs. Morrin. W. Graham, J. M. Clark, Tinne, Shera. Dargaville, and D. Natlian, and two auditors wereselecfed, Messrs.Owen and Mason. Various others matters of importance was discussed, and some specimens of beautifully prepared flax exhibited.
