NAPIER.
November 12—The rifle match, Wellington versus Napier, came off to-day. Napier scored a total of 647, the average being 54 per man. Wellington scored 586, average 49. Last pear Wellington beat Napier by 60.—Two men who were working at Harrison's flax mill had each an arm torn off near the shoulder. Jot.i died immediately after.—John Hammondhas been sentenced to six years' penal servitule.
