ARRIVAL OF THE HERO.
This favorite steamer arrived in harbour yesterday morning, after another good run from Sydney of five and a-half days, bringing the Auckland portion of the English mail via Suez. Captain Logan reports having left Sydney and cleared the heads at 6.30 p.m. on the Bth instant : passed the Three Rings at 9 a.m. on the 12th, rounded the North Cape at 2 p.m. same day, and arrived iv Auckland harbour at 9 a.m. on the 13th. During the passage across, the Hero experienced light variable winds and fine weather till midnight Saturday, when very thick weather was experienced till arrival in port.
