ARRIVAL OF THE CONSTANCE.
The Circular Saw clipper Constance, Captain Gibbon, has arrived in port, after another splendid passage of eight and a half days, being the first vessel to bring us the English telegrams, via Suez. The Constance has a large general cargo, and is full of passengers, having ten in the saloon, and about fifty in the steerage. The Constance left Sydney on Friday night, sth inst., and experienced very light westerly winds for two days ; thence had light winds veering from north to south, till making the Three Kings, which were passed on Friday last. Had moderate W. and N.W. winds along the coast, and very thick weather after two o'clock yesterday morning, arriving in harbour at 7 a.m. •
Passenoe-S. —Saloon : Capt. A. McLean, Mr. W. Bishop, Mr. Ponsonby, Mrs. Reed and 3 children and servant, Mrs. Thomas Hendorson. Steerage : Miss Kate O'Brien, Miss Lilly Kelly, Mr. R. Oliver, Mr. N. Travers, Mr. G. Buckley, Mr. Manville, Messrs. Woodlock (2), 34 men, 4 women, and 6 children.
Captain Gibbon reports passing the barque Novelty off tho North Cape, on Friday last, and the s.s. Auckland on Friday, tho sth, going into Sydney.
