Chiid Bubnt to Death at Bbli. Biock. •—We regret to hear that a child belonging to Mr. N. Rowe, of Bell Rock, has been burnt to death. From the particulars we have gathered, we learn that Mr. Rowe's two sons were out in a field burning some dry fern, and by some means the youngest child—a boy between three and four years old—whilst stretching over a heap that was in flames, let his clothes take fire. On discovering this he ran to his brother, who tried all he could to put the fire out, but was unable to do so before the poor child was severely burnt—the lower part of the body being campletely roasted. As soon as assistance could be obtained, the boy was taken to his home, and Dr. O'Carroll sent for, who applied every remedy, but the little sufferer gradually sunk, and died yesterday. The other boy was also fearfully burnt about the hands and face, in trying to save his brother. An inquest will be held on the body on Monday nex., at 11 a.m.— ASerald, May 14.
