Boolka, Calma, Cunnamulla, Drummer, Darebin, Essex, Flying Jib, First Water, Gudarz, Guesswork, Jessie, King of the Vale, Lord Lisgar, Lord Burghley, Little Jack, Mistaken, Navigator, Odd Trick, Pol lis, The Queen, Santa Clans, Stockwell, Sting, Sweet William, Sylvanus, Standard Bearer, and Sivanaka. It is not expected that Navigator will start for j-he Cup. SHIPPING. Received October 30, 3.20 p.m. October 30. Arrived—The Orient s.s. Austral, from Plymouth, September 16. An exciting scene oocured yesterday in Hobson's Bay on board the Norwegian barque Thor, 1100 tons, about to sail for Maiden Island. Five deserters had been I trought on board as the vessel was on the point of leaving, when they all jumped overboard. One narrowly escaped being drowned before he was secured. Tho water police ultimately captured the others and took them on board again, whereupon the whole of the rest of the crew refused to work. The vessel is therefore still detained. Received October 30th, 9.20 p.m. THE WONIORA DISASTER. Sydney, October 29. The steam coller Woniora, 226 tonr;, owned by the BulliCoal Mining Co., while on a voyage from Bulli to Sydney, coal laden, foundered last night off Botany Heads. The officers and crew, to the number of thirteen, including the captain, were drowned. One penman was saved. She was insured for £7000 in the Australian Alliance Company. Received October 30, 1 p.m. OBITUARY. October 30. The death is announced to-day of the Hon. Sir William Maoarthur, M.L.C. of New South Wales, aged 82 ; and also of Mr William Forster, lately Agent-General for New South Wales in London, aged 64.
